The TDI is shown to be 45% more reliable than the average car while the gasoline powered Golf is 30% more reliable than the average car. Apparently the catastropic HPFP failures are extremely rare as it would not take but a few of these reported to CU to tank the reliability ratings. Y.
Looking at getting my mk6 golf 1.6tdi remapped to stage 1. I had my gtd remapped so been through the process before, but have question regarding the DQ200 DSG gearbox. I’ve read on forums it’s max torque is 250 nm which it’s already at. The map takes it from 103bhp to 140bhp and 250nm to 318nm.

For a 1.6tdi I wouldn't bother with a specialist custom map, I'd just find the nearest revo dealer or get a bluefin etc. switchable map device, plug and go. I'd only bother going to somewhere like RTech for a proper fully featured performance map on a performance engine.
