Looking through the installation times for updates means it would have been either this cumulative update.
LovedAge of Empires 2 to death. Now on my Windows 10 laptop when I try to play the game everything is much too small. The interface is extremely tiny, honestly I would of just settled for something that scales to 720p/1080p. 4K just sounds ridiculous for a 20 year old game like Age of Empires 2.
Thankfully changing your video resolution in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is easy to do. Head into the game’s options either in game or at the start screen.
