Everything I wished the game had been at launch. I'm really into as realistic gameplay as possible and survival mode is the closest to that you can find in a Far Cry game. It removes the skills I thought were unrealistic (having like 5 or 6 health bars, an owl that can kill cavemen, etc.) adds a stamina system so you have to eat/sleep, reduces the amount of wildlife to a more realistic number Free the captured Wenja and they will join your village. Winning them is really easy, sometimes they are worth completing as you pass. For completing such an event, you will receive various rewards - experience, resources or new villagers. The tasks are repetitive with only a few types of them.In Far Cry Primal, you can help your fellow Wenja by hunting down the beasts that have been causing them trouble.
